SCAM NEWS: North Carolina Mom Finds Her Kids’ Pictures On Stranger’s Facebook Page

A North Carolina mother was surprised and shocked to find a total stranger using her children’s picture as his Facebook profile image.

She says the man has taken the image down, but she wants other parents to hear her story.

“The section that says ‘People You May Know,’ I just went down and there was a picture of my kids with someone else’s name,” said Becky Smith.

She clicked on the man’s Facebook page where she saw an image of her three kids.

How Do You Properly Report Scammers?

It is essential that law enforcement knows about scams & scammers, even though there is nothing (in most cases) that they can do.

Always report scams involving money lost or where you received money to:

  1. Local Police – ask them to take an “informational” police report – say you need it for your insurance [use caution, not advisable in all countries]
  2. Your National Police or FBI «www.IC3.gov» OR from within the U.S. «tips.FBI.gov»
  3. The Scars Worldwide Reporting Network «HERE» or on «www.Anyscam.com» [available anywhere]

This helps your government understand the problem, and allows law enforcement to add scammers on watch lists worldwide.
